Executive Head Teacher

About Me

I am proud to be an Executive Headteacher for the Prestolee Multi Academy Trust in Greater Manchester. Having taught for 11 years in a variety of schools, I took on my first headship at Tottington Primary School in Bury. As a school that was satisfactory over time and then placed in RI, I worked quickly and efficiently with an outstanding workforce to rapidly improve standards and provision. Tottington Primary is now consistently in the top 5% nationally and is rated good with outstanding features. The school now leads the way in research led, innovative approaches to education that ensure high engagement and rapid progress for all. In 2019, Tottington academised with the Prestolee Multi Academy Trust. Being a forward thinking, positive MAT with excellent leadership, it was the perfect fit for Tottington and myself.

Through my current roles as Executive Headteacher, public speaker, blogger, peer reviewer, SEND lead and Ofsted Reference Group member, I’d like to think I live my vision that excellent leadership and rapid school improvement derive from genuine positive relationships.
